Beyond the Troop: Individual Scout Opportunities
Whether your Scout can't attend with their unit, wants extra time at camp, or is ready to take the first steps toward leadership, Cherokee Scout Reservation offers programs for individual youth to participate and advance.Day Campers
Day Campers attend camp daily to participate in the program, earn merit badges, and enjoy the camp experience without staying overnight. This option is open to female and male Scouts.
Provisional Campers (Provisional Troop)
The Provisional Unit is formed for Scouts who are unable to attend camp with their home unit or who wish to attend multiple weeks of summer camp.

The Provisional Troop is co-ed and limited to 20 Scouts per week.

Supervision: Adult leaders from the full-time camp staff (male and female) provide support and supervision for the Provisional Scouts.
Cherokee’s Future Leaders Program (CFL)
The Cherokee’s Future Leaders (CFL) program is designed to develop a Scout’s ability to teach and lead others, providing valuable pre-staff experience.

Focus: Participants spend a week shadowing camp staff while receiving professional development in instruction, classroom management, and effective staff membership.

Eligibility: Participants must be at least 14 years old, registered with the BSA, and able to provide a completed BSA Health Form (Parts A, B, and C).

Capacity: We have space for 10 CFL participants each week. The program is co-ed.
